The daughter of two PhD chemists, Lindsey Lybrand always knew she would be an artist. Little did she know she would carry on the ‘family tradition’ with a twist, by focusing on photography and being her own kind of chemist while spending long hours in the darkroom.
Born in February of 1987, Lindsey spent the first half of her life in Seattle, WA and the second half in Nashville, TN and currently lives in New York City.
She recently graduated from Vanderbilt University where she double-majored in Child Development and Studio Arts and also taught Basic Photography at the Sarratt Studios for three semesters.
In June she attended the Utrecht Feminism Conference in the Netherlands to perform a collaborative piece with Libby Rowe and her work will be featured in a group show at Kendall College of Art and Design in 2011.
